Ready for a revamp of your home and flooring. If you’re looking to install new or replacement carpet, then you can have a lot of fun with choosing a style and design for your carpets. We’ve got some inspiration to get you started with the latest carpet trends of 2018.
Nylon
Nylon is winning out over other traditional carpet materials like wool or polyester. Compared to other options, nylon resists stains well and easy to clean and maintain. Regularly vacuuming and a steam clean every now and again can be enough to keep this durable carpet in good condition. It’s comfortable underfoot, too, especially if you opt for soft nylon.
Neutral colors
Neutral colors are still on top when it comes to interior design. Blues and grays are particularly popular choices for homes, complementing a variety of styles and designs. Gray carpet is proving its enduring popularity, but cool blues are a great way to add a touch of color to a space without making it too garish.
Patterned carpets
If solid colors are too dull for you, then a variety of patterned carpet styles are also proving popular in 2018. Patterned carpets attract the eye and add interest to the room, as well as not showing up spots and stains as easily as solid-colored carpet. Bold floral and geometric patterns are current trends, and so is tasteful animal print such as this fawn design.
Green carpets
I know, we just said that neutral colors are still the way to go in 2018, so we’re not recommending bright green carpets, don’t worry! We mean the other kind of green – good for the environment. Biodegradable and recycled materials are becoming more and more popular for use in carpeting, such as sisal carpeting made from plant fibers. These can be sealed with a product like Microseal permanent protection to reduce wear.
Carpet tiles
Carpet tiles are incredibly versatile and easy to install, maintain, and replace. That’s because, with carpet tile, you don’t have to replace the entire floor when a small area gets stained or damage. You can simply take up the affected tile and clean it or replace it, making stain and odor removal much easier. You can also get really creative with design and patterns when it comes to carpet tile.
